Visiting Killaloe

What to see and do in Killaloe, Ireland

The village is quite large, and lies at the span of the river Shannon and it is one of the main attractions in Ireland, as it provides a lot of land and water activities, historic sites and a busy nightlife. Therefore, if you are looking for a family destination vacation, this city will ensure that nobody will get bored and you and your family will have the best time. What is great is that you can get to see a lot of historic sites and do plenty of activities, as everything is situated within walking range. If you get to Killaloe by the end of June you will be able to participate in the Feile Brian Boru festival, which is the annual celebration of the city meant to keep alive the name of Irelandís greatest kings in his native place. The festival includes numerous exciting programs and events for the entire family. At the same time, you can take a step back in history and check out the open-air Viking village market in Killaloe. It does not have the size and popularity of the entertainment centre from Dublin, however, it is still pretty impressive.
